vMix output works but input doesnt on Decklink Quad 2 card - vMix input stays black but outputs do work with external renderer

Hi guys.

I have been working on this for a couple of hours.

We run a windows 11 pc 24H2 with vMix 28.0.0.42 and i use a blackmagic decklink quad 2 with driver v15.0.

I cant get any input in vmix with this card and i tried installing older versions of decklink driver but that also didnt work.
Then i tried using the external renderer to use the card to output content and that it does..

I use the same card. Did you use the BlackMagic software to setup the ports? They might all be set to outputs. You have individual control over each port, this is apart from the card driver utility

I have set it up with desktop video but I didn’t notice any setting to only use the card as outputs? What would that be?

The mapping is correct as the link shows. Using all the 8 in/outputs as I wish. Outputs work but inputs stay black..

Have you verified your signal coming into the card? What is the source that's sending to it?

Yes when i run it through my Decimator MD-Cross V2 it comes up as 1080i 50hz and thats correct. I will see a picture when i connect it to my blackmagic design screen.
I get all the inputs from a blackmagic 20x20 matrix.

Some new things that has happened.

When i leave it off for about a day and turn it on again it will work all the inputs no problem.

But when i restart it will only show input 3 and 4 and 5 and 6. 1,2,7 and 8 will stay black.

Could it be something with motherboard lanes etc?

Its a Asus ProArt 790 creator Wifi with a i7 14700F and a 5070 TI.
