Is there any way to prevent inputs from being dragged out of position on layers in virtual sets?

I have a few sets that are used to easily set up multi-box shots and operators keep inadvertently dragging the location of the input on the layer and never noticing that it's out of place. I have to go in every so often to reset input positions on most of them.

I see there is now a lock button for layers in shots, but it has no effect on preventing this particular issue.
