Is it possible / can it be added to the output menue's to rename the outputs over NDI from Output1/2/3/4 to something I set? In larger shows it's somewhat complex to ask others to use an output number rather than they can search by a friendly name like Main TX, Multiview, green room, ect. This would be really useful when i have 5+ vMix machines with 10's of NDI viewers around site, and a 100 NDI devices like camera and inputs on the network.

It's not possible in vMix now but I agree this would be a helpful addition. +1
Edit: someone better at coding than me could knock up an app using the NDI SDI routing function to achieve this. e.g. a command line tool where you run "OutputRename.exe {output1name} {output2name} {output3name} {output4name}" and then the vmix outputs are available under those new comes as well as the normal names. Using NDI routing wouldn't create any extra load on the machine.

(4. press save button to resume after restarting the app.) So you can change the name of any NDI outputs. Note it doesn't resume when no source exists with the same name as you saved. Means you have to open this app after vMix when you want to restart. I hope this feature will be implemented in the near future. :) For people who really need this function, enjoy.
