I have a Behringer UMC404 feeding two microphones into vMix. I also have internal audio from my computer as an audio input. Everything has worked fine for many years. Recently however, I have had a few instances where during the a live stream there has been a "pop" and the microphones go completely dead. (The music input remains fine and house audio remains good with same microphones) A couple of times I went to the input and reinstalled the same audio source and the mics have come back on. The last time, however that did not work and I needed to drop the stream, restart vMix and and then mics were restored. Any suggestions as to what might be the problem?

I may have run into the same issue of USB ASIO audio (Behringer XR18) lost during livestream without any other symptoms. Restarting vMix during program break did correct the missing audio, but of course that's pretty undesired situation.

Good evening. I've run into this issue myself from time to time, and I've noticed it's related to how much the system is being pushed—especially under Windows. For example, when I used to run a GTX 1070 GPU, it would happen more frequently compared to now with my 3060.
Also, in my case, it's directly related to the ASIO drivers. I'm using a Behringer UMC1820 audio interface. This problem tends to show up when using heavy presets or when I’m doing something demanding—like exporting a video in DaVinci Resolve—so the PC is under stress.
Interestingly, I don’t really see the issue when I avoid selecting the UMC ASIO driver with individual channel routing. Instead, if I pick IN 01-02 (Behringer UMC1820) or similar from the standard audio device list, it seems to behave better.
Of course, for setups with 1 microphone per channel when not use ASIO, you’ll need to configure everything manually in the Audio Matrix / Channel Mixer per channel.
That’s it—hope this helps!

In my case, the USB audio device dropout occurred at a steady streaming production situation without pushing the computer in any particular way. With 13980HX + 4070 laptop the render times in 1080p project were 2-5 ms, vMix CPU usage approximately 5-10%, and GPU hardware streaming encoding. The audio inputs were brought in stereo pairs or mono, so no multichannel audio inputs.
