At a recent broadcast on vMix 28.0.0.39, any camera inputs in vMix using my Blackmagic DeckLink Quad 2 8-Channel, were suffering from a very low framerate. If I had to estimate, vMix was dropping about 50% of the frames.

If I accessed the camera inputs using Blackmagic's native software in Windows, the cameras on the Quad 2 card appeared normal, telling me it was a vMix issue.

No amount of restarting vMix, trying a default profile, resetting the inputs, or even restarting Windows fixed the dropped frames in vMix.

Camera input on my separate Blackmagic Declink 4K Mini were perfectly normal inside vMix.

vMix had been working fine with this setup for several months without issue.

Fortunately during a pause in the broadcast I was able to, as a last resort, close vMix, update my nVidia drivers and reboot the computer. Everything then started working normally and was fine from thereout. I don't see why a nVidia driver update would have fixed things though?

My question is - what would have caused this to randomly occur and how can I prevent this from happening again?

Good morning John! I'm having the same exact issue with my Atem Mini Pro. Thank you for bringing out this reoccurring issue!

Hi John,

Depending on the workflow and system, it sounds like there may have been performance issues with your system at the time however, we could not confirm this without more information.

If you do see the issue occur again, please reach out to our contact form below:

Regarding the issue you're experiencing with the ATEM Mini Pro, could you please confirm if you're connecting it via USB? If so, the problem may be related to what's outlined in the following knowledge base article:

Hello, I am wanting to make sure my support email was received? I had to email your support email address rather than use the form, as I had to attach some files.

What is the usual response time for support? I only ask as I have upcoming broadcasts I need to get this fixed for.

Thank you
