NEED Support for the System Audio in vMix Call Screen Share.

I was informed by tech support that vMix Call does not currently support the system audio when doing screen share, the reason being that the actual implementation of that kind of support in WebRTC can be problematic.
In my opinion this lack of audio screensharing functionality is regrettable and a serious omission in an otherwise sophisticated high-end platform specifically designed for the audio/video streaming community. I purchased the 4K version at a considerable expense for me with the anticipation that I could service my guests, who are largely in this community, with the ability to share A/V content, be they in YouTube, MP4, or some other form.
Is there some technical reason why you can't add the same check box functionality, available in the FREE Zoom screen share, to include audio with the video. Wouldn't that be possible through the same connection audio is transferring between host and guests? I can play a video with audio, and talk over it simultaneously.
Is the limitation in the browser? If it requires the guest specifying the audio source for screen shares, where only one can occur at a time, couldn't that be added to the other advanced settings? You could even program the mic and line outputs to switch automatically, at the guest's discretion, when the guest initiates an audio screen share, if such switching is necessary. If the guest prefers to narrate over a video-only screen share, that option could then be turned off.
This should be available out of the box for all versions that include vMix Call, be convenient and easy to use. vMix could even make a big fuss over this new, great improvement!

Ultimately, that's not what the screen share functionality is designed for. It's for things that involve actual screen sharing, which are things that generally don't require audio.
If you're looking for people to "share A/V content, be they in YouTube, MP4, or some other form", the general idea is that you would run it like a proper production.
When people go on, say, "The Tonight Show" with a clip of an upcoming project, they don't play it on their phone and mirror it to the studio monitors. They give the video to the control room who plays it back and cuts it in.
You're using vMix--a program whose primary purpose is acting as a video switcher. And the idea is that you'd use it as production software.
If they want to show a YouTube video, they send you the link, you add it to a browser input, and cue it up to go when the time comes.
If they want to show a video that's an MP4 file or whatever else, they send you the video and you, again, add it as an input and cue it it up to play when the time comes.
Screen sharing is intended to be used for screen sharing.
If you want to do something else, like media playback, there are a ton of better options that don't include all of the potential glitches and issues of screen sharing, including (especially) using the software you're already using to do what it was designed to do.
Coordinate with the community, plan your productions, and run the show like a professional. That's why you bought the software you bought at what you described as "considerable expense".
If you or the community can't be bothered to plan properly, then the option is that they figure their own stuff out, such as by using OBS or vMix on their end to, again, do what those tools are designed to do: stream media over the Internet without needing to share their screen.

I do both. If it is a video that dont need from the talent to be controlled like stop in a point and comment on it,i play it from vmix in control room. If it is something that they need to have control on it,vdo.ninja and their separate laptop and then--> browser link to me. It works very good. Also for youtube video link-->browser add input. I hope that in future they will make possible to sign in... But ok only that in Vmix 28 we can use application capture and application audio,is for me a big plus and very helpfull Vdo.ninja is also WEBRTC protocol and if we exclude the times that the talent has not good internet it never dissapointed me And of course,It’s fair, for each software company — and not just software — to follow its own business model and decide what features to include or not. Whether we like it or not as consumers, that’s just how it is. The real Free one was skype and not zoom. If Zoom or even Teams was free "in terms of free" like skype, then it would be amazing

I recommend Teams or Zoom sessions for this. Usually I have a Teams meeting for just presenters and enable NDI on that. You can ingest into the production system as ISO or just active speaker. I just did one of these a few hours ago and it works solid for me. You can also do vMix <-> vMix. If you buy a cheap low end license you get full 1080p and full freedom.
