I know it's been asked for so many times.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE have an option (maybe with the LOCK button) to fix the inputs to where they are and DISALLOW dragging them around!
I support dozens of systems and this is the #1 problem, and it eats up a silly amount of time. People don't get it that they can move things accidentally and then, since the various record and streaming options are based on the outputs, which don't track those changes, everything gets screwed up.
Literally at least once per day I get this, if not more. I know it's quick to fix but it's silly needing to do it when it could be an option to disable it all together.
I can give you an estimate of the dollar value of this: to support it for a year of once per day at 15 minutes per incident. It's easily over $3,000 of support time alone.
Thank you!

One workaround that’s worked well for me: Use a MIX input and assign your Output to MIX (1, 2, etc.) instead of a fixed Input number.
This way, even if Inputs get moved around, your Output stays consistent, since the MIX is unaffected by input order.
Not a full “lock” solution, but it can eliminate the problem in practice.

That actually works pretty well as a workaround!
However, it still should allow it to be pinned or fixed in a future version rather than depending upon an abstraction layer.
Cheers!

Basically if a user is like me (that likes to explore every button even in any moment) almost nothing can help! So personally i would like also mix input numbers to be assigned once and forever for current vmix preset, Beyond this if the problem is to "lock" or better follow the input-->output then vmix 28 API can read outputs so anyone can make a program/script like this https://forums.vmix.com/...arty-program-for-Vmix-28
