The ButtonPress activator works differently than many other event based activators. With many other activators, you select a Control and an event, such as PreviewInput. When the event fires, the Control input is updated. The ButtonPress activator does not distinguish between the Control and the Event; the Control is the Event. I'd like to see a ButtonPress event where the triggering button is able to be defined, just like with a PreviewInput event, you can choose the input. For example, on an X-Keys device this would allow any button to change the color of any other button. A scenario for this is where there are two buttons to adjust camera focus in/out and a third button labeled Manual Focus. The Manual Focus button could be changed to red anytime that one of the adjustment buttons were pressed in conjunction with a ScriptStartDynamic that both turns on manual focus and adjusts the focus. Pressing the red Manual Focus button would then reset the focus to automatic and turn the color back to its default. As there is are no focus events in vMix, this adds a tremendous number of possibilities with a single activator. Here is a mock up of the desired and existing functionality, respectively. Thanks you for your consideration. Desired Existing
