Maybe this is an issue, or maybe this is just a best practices question. But I have my stream bitrate set to 6500, yet Youtube reports as only getting 2300ish bps. Is it an upload speed issue, or just something you are supposed to compensate for by upping your stream bitrate in vMix until you get a proper bitrate in YT?

vMix uses variable bit rate, and the bitrate you set is the maximum. If there isn't much movement in your scene, it won't use much bandwidth. If you want it to always send 6500 kbps even when nothing is moving or changing (wasteful of bandwidth), enable constant bitrate mode in the stream settings.

Thanks, I knew it was something simple like that, but my brain is fried from 80 hour weeks lol

Best to just ignore the dumb whining from YouTube, annoying as it is.

Yeah that's what I do. As long as the stream looks good and the stream button in vMix itself isn't flashing yellow, then I ignore Youtube's complaining.
