As i liked to scrub backwards and forward in Instant Replay with variable speed using the Shuttle wheel of a Contour Shuttle Pro v2 i saw an idea on Reddit so made a vMix preset. It does require to have some key shortcuts meaning vMix needs to be the active application but maintains the other Midi functionality of the Shuttle pro to vMix (only messed with the shuttle wheel) The Shuttle app allows to set actions on the transitions between the various positions Basically on going up (further away from the central position) one uses the frame advance function with a repeat per second increasing this frequency , on going back on transitions it triggers another shortcut. except for the last one where i used the playfast function to go beyond 100% speed. only little extra shortcut to put the play in forward again when i returned form fastbackward Hope the pictures kind of explain it Its not perfect as the repat keystrokes do not fully keep up with the intention but i still prefer it to scrub through footage of the instant replay in addition to the jogwheel use and its jumpfastframeson for my specific project with instant replay Any further suggestions or ideas are welcome besides vMix team adding the possiblity within vMix itself ;-) the Shuttle preset file https://www.dropbox.com/...ref?st=1plj54vj&dl=0 shortcuts.png (10kb) downloaded 3 time(s). 5.png (79kb) downloaded 4 time(s). 1.png (104kb) downloaded 2 time(s). 2.png (104kb) downloaded 4 time(s). 3.png (104kb) downloaded 3 time(s). 4.png (103kb) downloaded 3 time(s).

Okay so after using this for a couple days, I've come across one small issue, and a solution.
The 7 position on the wheel uses the ReplayFastForward (or Backward) shortcut. This messes with my replay speed that I had already set in the replay window. I don't like that. So instead, I mapped a new shortcut that does ReplayJumpFrames, but with a value of 10 instead of 1. And I set the Shuttle Pro to send that keystroke 60 times per second (instead of the Once Only that was currently defined for position 7). This allows fast scrubbing without it affecting my replay speed. Also, it eliminates the need for the ReplayChangeDirection shortcut when transitioning from 7 to 6 on the reverse side of the wheel.
Also, I made the J and L shortcuts (the single frame jog shortcuts) jump 2 frames at a time instead of 1, so it goes a little faster. If I want single frame precision, I use the jog wheel in the center.
Other than that, it's working great.
