Hi all,
I was wondering what level of rights does the desktop capture require to run? Can it run with user level or does it require administrative permissions to run?

Also at vMix, when looking for an NDI source, will it look on all network interfaces? If not does anyone know where I can force it to a specific interface?

I was having trouble getting the desktop capture to work and be seen at my vMix workstation - the person on the laptop only has user level permissions which was my first thought of where the problem might be, but also my workstation sits on three different networks, one for the cameras, one for something else and one that happened to be on the same network as the person that was presenting and I thought that might be an issue if vMix only is looking on one specific interface... Any thoughts would be appreciated!

#1 vMix Desktop capture runs on user level, no issue. But security could salten the water. Antivirus, firewall, what have you. This is usually nothing you can change with user rights.

#2 vMix sees all valid interfaces. You can restrict or point at specific interfaces with NDI Tools Access Manager

#3 Use a wired connection between the desktop capture and vMix.
