Currently, if you create a GT title file with an IN animation, then in vMix create an input using that title and put it on as a layer source for multiple inputs...then switch between those inputs, the title's IN animation plays every time you Fade, Cut, merge, etc.

Is there any way to avoid that? Other than putting the title on an overlay? It seems like Merge should be able to avoid that since when you are merging it's comparing the objects on one input to the objects on another input, and creating the difference on screen. So it seems like if an animated title is the same on two inputs, then merging between them should yield no change. So does anyone have any ideas for a workaround?

I do not have any triggers on the inputs I'm referring to

Dont have an IN animation in your title (the animation has literally been baked into the title's transition in! Been told to do that, it's not reloading !)

Begs the question ; why title as a layer if you dont want the intended functionality of the title's animation (overlayed)

You know as well as I do that there is often more than one way to skin a cat in vmix, but we also know that any method you choose over another can have drawbacks in certain scenarios. Answering a technical question with “don’t do it that way” is the lazy way out. Your assumption should be that I have a reason for wanting to do it that way. I mentioned the overlay method so obviously I’d prefer to not use an overlay.

If the answer to the question is “no there’s no other way”, then that’s the answer.

FYI before i commented i actually tried various ways i could think off with no luck hence the no animation included hint.
That said asking you for the why might give an insight to your workflow to maybe an answer whatever that reason might be . I am not in the habit of throwig stuff to the wall and see what sticks or guessing for an answer

But hey you be you , good luck

On the Input holding the Title Layer untick "Automatically Play with Transition" on the General tab of Input Settings.
