Hi admin, Can add Countdown Setting Display format in the title editor: millisecond mm:ss.ff mm:ss.fff {0:mm:ss.ff} {0:mm:ss.fff} This will be very useful in the scoreboard racing games, basketball, etc. Thanks.

I don't see the need for milliseconds since you don't really use the countdown for timing purposes. The countdown is more of a visual aid for the correct time which is kept on the track course, swimcourse or arena gameclock by referees and so on. If you have some way to connect to the official timer you don't need the countdown anyway. Just my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Well you don't want a person to press start and stop since that's very inaccurate. If you have some kind of device that sets start and stop. Like photocells or something and you can get that signal into vMix to start and stop the Countdown fine. But relying on a human persons time of reaction to decide milliseconds in a race...naw. (A persons time of reaction varies heavily, try it yourself)

I've noticed in NBA basketball game, when entering the final seconds of the game, scoreboard wearing a millisecond. Maybe it would be wise martin to add millisecond time option in the countdown setting. I think there will be requiring in addition to me that this entails.

+1
Our need is also getting seconds with miliseconds "ss.ff" to the countdown timer. We have to display split times that we only can do by Hand.
Thanks and Happy Easter

In a past life I worked for a company that made hardware character generators. Eventually they were asked to implement clocking functions that were able to handle milliseconds. However, these were almost always driven be en external timing & scoring system. The display timing had to be externally referenced to the official clock of the event, which was often from a company like Daktronics.
There is a legacy serial protocol for this. The clock object that was implemented literally rendered the digits being conveyed over that connection in real-time.
I would think that a countdown that was exclusively internal to vMix would have limited utility, at least where ms accuracy is required.

Honestly, it becomes nausiating that when someone asks how to do this, the majority of people get on here and bash their request based on the innacuracy of milliseconds. That doesn't help, and it doesn't answer the question!
There appears to be a couple of people who say this is possible by adding :fff to the string, but nowhere can I see how to actually do this.
Is there anyone out there who can actually answer the question, rather than weigh in on whether or not it's accurate? I'm not looking for accuracy, there are judges for that. I need a timer with milliseconds for how it looks. It builds suspense. And furthermore, my client is requesting it. So when everyone's done with their oppinions of accuracy, is there anyone who can actually answer this question?
