Hi,

This is probably an odd request, but anyway: I would like to have dynamic update of the positioning data in the setting dialogue for inputs. That is Zoom, Pan and Crop values. As it is today these values are updated if you move sliders or if you click/shift+click and pan in the dialogue view. However, these values are NOT updated if they are altered via shortcuts or API.

As I'm using Skaarhoj devices together with vMix, I lack this functionality during setup and testing for upcoming productions. My workaround today is to toggle between the Position tab and some other tab to be able to see the updated value, but a bit annoying.

Thx!

I have to admit that I'm not fully able to follow. But you can create a virtual shot of an input and manipulate the position etc, Then you can chose a transition of your choice, even a merge, and you get a very nice smooth morph if I may say so.
But maybe I misinterpreted you post totally. If so, I#m sorry and apologize and ask for clarification.

Hi,

Sorry if I didn't describe my issue clear enough. Okay, let's simplify:

1. Open settings for an input (double click on the input or use the cog icon)
2. Select the Position tab
3. Now you see sliders and values in boxes for zoom, pan etc.
4. The values in these boxes updates when moving sliders as expected, but the values are NOT UPDATED (nor the sliders posiition) if you update any of these values by a shortcut like SetZoom(), SetPanX(), or API command (from Skaarhoj for example)

So that's what I'm looking for. As soon as a value change, I want it to be updated in the corresponding box (the UI). That's all.

Hope this clarify things.
Thx!
/Peter

Is that still the case when you click away from, or close, that section window and reopen it?

vMix doesn't generally update things like that which are hidden in other windows live when they're open, but it does generally update them in the background.

Hi,
As I tried to describe in my first post, values that are changed by a shortcut or API are recognized by vMix and the corresponding parameter will take effect immediately - but my point is that the PRESENTED VALUE in the box is NOT updated (like it will do when you move the slider with the mouse).

As I also described, my workaround right now is to toggle to another tab and back to the Position tab in the settings window. Doing so, the values in the boxes will be updated.

Now, if it is a problem to dynamically update these boxes when values are changed from external data sources, a simple new refresh button in the Position tab view would be welcome.

Thx.
/Peter
