Hi all!
First of all, love love the vMix 28 updates with regards to a second Multiview and Flatten layers.
For vmix 29 my first feature request actually builds upon this. Core of this is the assumption that on average computer hardware is now so powerfull and affordable that mid-tier PCs can already easily handle many resources.
More outputs
Now that we have two Multiviews to output, lots of M/Es (mixes), I would love to be able to render them to an output. In my workflow this is NDI, but I can imagine other workflows also capping on output assignments quickly now.
One of the selling points for me has always been that Inputs are not practically capped, but by your build, I would love this on the output side too.
Even more multiview options
- Even more multiviews?
- Additional layouts like 9x9, different orientations etc.
- OR build your own layout like we do in Layers (Multiview input?)
Deviating resolution Multiview
Even with two multiviews, I would love to be able to render them at 4K when Im running a 1080p production. This allows me to use larger multiview screens/TVs with the smaller grids without losing too much detail.
Minor things
- When putting a Mix in a multiview input box, I would like to be able to choose preview/program of said mix rather then getting both. This also allows me to monitor easier what we have in them when used more like an Aux.
- Output 2/3/4+ as inputs: Just like the current low resource output input.

+1 to this and I'll also I'd like to ask:
It might be great to integrate the same AI features to vMix 28 as TriCaster Vizion as:
-10-bit SDR Workflow in 4K
-AI Gaze correction
-AI Keyer
-HDR Sessions with LUT conversion
It would be a game changer for me and I would acquire vMix

My two big long-term bugbears with vMix - inability to preview a raw audio source, and inability to manage layered inputs on another input - have been solved with v27 (proper PFL) and v28 (flatten layers).
One annoyance I still have is that I have to use a script to get a video countdown displayed on a presenter view. It would be awesome if there was a way for the media countdown to display regardless of how the media is playing - for example if it's playing in another mix input, or as part of a layered input.
I'd also appreciate if the API could be revisited to make sure every piece of information about vMix is available. For example there is currently no information about what source is set in the fullscreen outputs so infant get Companion to give feedback on this currently.
I was also expecting a lot more Zoom shortcuts to be released with v27. Even just a previous/next contributor, and a contributor by index, to select which Zoom caller goes into an input. Anything which means I can manage more things from StreamDecks, and less by clicking on vMix, is a good thing.
