Thanks, I skimmed this, and I tried Screen Capture HX instead of the regular Screen Capture, and this works with vMix without issues.
So this could partially solve my issue. One thing Capture HX is missing is Region of Interest which I use quite a lot.

I added several HX sources to reach the bandwidth use of the normal Screen Capture and it works fine, so it is not just a bandwidth issue causing the freezing.
