vMix falls short for professional productions due to several limitations, particularly with its integrated replay functionality. Since replay operations are embedded within the same software, sharing the same mouse with the director becomes a major inconvenience, disrupting the workflow during live events.
Additionally, the inability to create distinct events—such as dedicated setups for specific sports broadcasts—further highlights why vMix is not ideal for professional broadcasting. A more robust, project-based organizational structure would greatly enhance its usability.
Another significant drawback is the lack of multi-camera viewing during replay navigation. Currently, vMix allows you to review only one camera feed at a time, making it challenging to find the perfect angle for key moments in a game. In contrast, systems like NewTek's offer the ability to view all camera feeds simultaneously. This feature, combined with the jog wheel for navigating footage, allows all camera angles to move forward and backward in sync, streamlining the workflow and making it much easier to pinpoint the ideal shot.

Weird as i can see all replay angles move (more then one) simulatiously using a jog-wheel. Have you checked the replay options ?

You're absolutely right! Upon further reflection, I noticed that all the cameras are in motion when you move the jog wheel. I believe I mistakenly described the situation earlier. What I meant to suggest was having both a live mode and an editing mode available simultaneously. For instance, the left window could display the live video feed, while the right window is dedicated to editing. I find it frustrating to go live and repeatedly hit "update" just to sync with the latest timeline.
