Hi all, I want to make a broadcast, but I have encountered two difficulties. The first one is that hevc files are not displaying colors correctly. I have video files formats Mkv hevc, files level 4.1 and below play well, but files above 5, when adding them to vmix become dim. I have a feeling that the encoder is not working correctly, although I have updated the drivers and software. In the Windows player itself, these files play well, juicy picture, but as soon as I add them to vmix, they become dull and no contrast. How to fix this, does anyone know?
I will say in advance that tried to change encoders, but it does not help.

And one more error I encountered is adding Mkv files. My files contain several audio tracks, and when playing I want to be able to select the desired audio track. If I add mkv files directly, vmix doesn't recognize them. In the settings under FFMPEG, I added Mkv to the list of playable files, then vmix started to recognize them, but before, in the taskbar, the lav encoder icon appeared on the right side of the screen for each file, and I could select the desired audio track for each of them. After adding Mkv to ffmpeg, these icons no longer appear, is there any other way to select the right audio track for each file?

Hi. After you add the extension in ffmpeg vmix settings and you go to the audio settings -->channel mixer of the mkv file,do you see all the audio channels?

Hi, after i add mkv in ffmpeg there is no option to select audio track at all. The icon with the help of which it was possible to select the audio track just disappears, and the first audio track in the file is played, the rest can not be selected.
But as soon as I remove the Mkv resolution from the ffmpeg line, the icon with audio tracks is displayed again

Hi im not developer but as i understand when we dont have the extension of the file in the ffmpeg decoder it tries to use the availiable windows decoder method. Also in the mpeg 2 video decoder let it to auto. If outside windows all is ok,try to remove the mkv extension from ffmpeg decoder and then go to vmix settings-->perfomance-->show advanced settings and then change the video renderer from VMR9 to EVR and restart vmix. Now Vmix should use the windows settings to recognise files and you be able to select the audio of the files in the task manager.
Test this method if works and then for stability
