We have two systems with vMix version 27.0.0.81 and BMD Duo2 with driver version 12.8.1. After latest Windows Updates, powering on after shutdown and opening a vMix project, the mapped SDI output to External don't work at first, requiring disabling an re-enabling External, sometimes 2 times because of audio stuttering. After this procedure, it will work as usual, even restarting Windows without power-off.

The External Output is set to activate automatically as startup in settings, and used to work before updates. Somebody with similar setup can confirm this behaviour? Already tried restoring Windows with no effect.

I think it's a very common problem, personally it often happens that I have to deactivate and activate external even just to output the video not embedded with audio. You could create a specific shortcut and manage it with a web controller if necessary.

Yes, I found other cases here in the forum, what brought my attention was that it was working fine before updates. Regards

It sounds like a compatibility issue after the Windows update. Try updating the BMD Duo2 drivers and double-check your vMix SDI output settings. Running vMix as administrator might also help. If it keeps happening, try disabling/enabling the Duo2 in Device Manager before opening vMix. Hope that helps!
