The announcement thread isn't open to replies so I've made a new thread here. First of all, the installer seems to still be set up for v27, as not only did the 'upgrade required' screen have all references to v27 rather than v28 (my license can already use v27 without issues, it's just v28 that I'd need an upgrade for), but also the installer provided no option to select an install location so it overwrite my v27 install. All previous betas I've tested had the option to select install locations so that I could have the beta separate from my production install. Quote:* NEW Flatten Layers Added Flatten Layers checkbox to each input. This combines all the layers together as a single "flat" input when used as a source in other inputs. This is useful for cropping all layers at once for example. Any plans to add a shortcut function to change the flatten layers state, or get the state via the API? Quote:* 5 Streaming Destinations Streaming destinations increased from a maximum of 3 to 5. With more streams, is there plans to add Enhanced RTMP support for v28 to allow these streams to be utilized for multitrack streaming (such as on Twitch, which has been supporting streaming software looking to integrate). Quote:* Audio Audio Bus Manager will now update in realtime in response to shortcuts or mouse clicks in main mixer Is there are a reason these realtime updates are limited to the just the Bus Manager screen and not the Bus Mixer screens that are accessible through the Bus Manager by clicking the cog next to the input? Quote:* New Shortcuts SetBusFolumeFade Minor typo, although I've always wanted to change a bus's Folume! :D Quote:* Other updates New Encoder tab added to Statistics, provides an overview of all the encoders currently in use. Handy to determine how many NVENC are remaining on GeForce cards. Is there any way to access this data externally, such as through the API, or watching a log file?

Also, I have a question about this:
Production Clock now supports time remaining for video currently playing in Output
If we are using a list, does it show time remaining of the entire list or just a specific input in the list?

One more question to the Telestrator. Is there a plan to add presets? Could be handy so one could prepare the tactical sequence while the soccer game is still ongoing. In the break one would just hit the "Preset 1" and the drawings taken before appear. Afterwards Preset 2 could be used very quick without drawing a lot again on the fly.

If we are using a list, does it show time remaining of the entire list or just a specific input in the list? I just did a quick test, and it seems to try to show the time remaining of the full list, but I have encountered an issue that not all items in the list are being included in the duration. For example I had 3 files that were 62 seconds long, so the time remaining was displaying 3 minutes 6 seconds. I then added another file that was 9 seconds but it wasn't included in the total duration remaining until that item in the list was live and then suddenly the duration was added to the total. I tried with a couple other files, when those were added the total time remaining on the list was calculated correctly, but if I added more of that 9s file it wasn't calculated in the total. I need to do some digging to see if I can reproduce this with other videos, but it does mean that the time remaining on the list input may be longer than indicated if it's not counting certain files.

I also see that the new trigger "on playback remaining" supports and calculate the whole video list length. But i dont see this value somewhere in the API so we can use it as value in scripting or companion For the list length you mention i see and also for older versions, that sometimes if we add a video like mxf this will not be counted correctly, until it plays or if we have mark in/out in videos Being also this value in production clock very usefull! This saves me from other patents. Thank you. Also very good that now we can see all audio buses at once in audio mixer, but still not able to combine any combination of them for recording

Can take a snapshot of the Telestrator input ! Load them as an input one can select to overlay and overlay the telestratorinput to add more doodles! Can add them to a list input ! Combine them on a transparent input! ... imagination ;-)

Hi All,
Please create a separate thread in this forum for individual issues, rather than replying here. I will lock this thread for now.
Some brief answers:
1. Flatten Layers will not be available via the API for performance reasons (it should not be toggled back and forth live) 2. The installer does not show the correct upgrade graphic yet, as this is a beta, the final release will have all that implemented. 3. It is no longer possible to try and install multiple vMix versions to the same machine. This was never officially supported and it causes issues as different system files are used by different versions, trying to install 28 separately would end up breaking the existing 27 install in many areas for example.
Regards,
Martin vMix
