Anyone else see this update to .46 pop-up on vMix 26?
Is there a changelog, is it real?

We have some licenses that max out at v26. Wanting to keep these 'current', but also make sure there are no new surprises and to sanity test the changes as we use these workstations in Production.
We typically have a v26 and v27 workflow that is active.

Windows 11 24H2 was recently released and has an issue where using an audio input in vMix 26 or earlier will cause it to crash.
The 26.0.0.46 update was released to fix this only.

vMix 27 is not impacted by this issue, and if you are using Windows 10 then 26 does not need to be updated either.

Interesting.. I see also some posts in fb group for this problem.
That`s why windows 11 are not still for serious workflow as for example except this, previous 23H2 version had other bugs like the 8gb file cannot be deleted, etc. So as nobody can say for sure that the 25H2 version will not cause any other weird problem to vmix 27 or 28 version!
So we stay in windows 10 3-4 years and about 2028 will go to windows 11 and vmix 30!!

Windows 10 is EoL in a year.

You can wait 3-4 if you want.

But unless you're using a completely offline machine or paying for & receiving extended support, that'd be a very bad idea.

You`re right. I have seen some windows 10 that called IOT LTSC and say support until 2032. Have you used them with vmix and work ok?
Other than that until end 2021 our montage pc was core2duo with windows 7 and going into internet for browsing mainly and videos download and my main playout pc that also was in internet because i needed to be able to remote control it, had windows xp and nothing bad happened. But yes, you`re right. It will happen once and then cry and you`re right!

If it doesnt come up as update inside vmix you can download it from here https://www.vmix.com/software/download.aspx go to vmix 26 section and the download button will download the .46 version
