As we established before, when you share screen in Zoom and capture it in vMix using the vMix Zoom plugin, you lose the cursor. For our content this is an issue and we have to try to explain to guest speakers how to turn on annotation and the cursor spotlight tool in Zoom. However one of our guests has their cursor carry through and is visible in vMix. I noticed that her cursor also enlarges when she moves it sometimes, so it seems like an accessibility feature similar to the one available on Macs through the OS settings. However in Windows this isn't a standard option. There are third party plugins that do this. I don't know what app our guest speaker might be using, and they don't either (sigh), but my suspicion is that most apps that do this will make the cursor carry through to vMix.

It's not practical to ask all guests that need a cursor visible to install an app, but if you have a recurring speaker that needs it, this should be a decent fix.

We found a fix when trying out your hack (which didn't work for us.) Have your guests login to Zoom via web browser as opposed to the app. The cursor is back baby!

Right, ok....maybe my guest had her cursor visible because she joined from the web, not the app, AND she also had a cursor finder plugin installed but that wasn't what was the fix. I just tried it and I can confirm, joining from the web allows your cursor to be visible.

The downside is you're joining from the web of course. I would never recommend someone do that unless there was no other option, there are far too many inconsistencies when you do, and things like breakout rooms, camera sources, etc may not work properly....I've seen it time and again. It's also unfortunate that this is the only fix, as people generally don't understand the concept of joining from the web, and it's not the easiest to explain. But still it's great info, and I may try it out on one of our guests soon...thanks

100% agree on the downside of web login, but for our show it has saved us for now. Just a matter of time before web login goes away too. I hope vmix and zoom can get together and figure this out for the app.
