The current user interface only provides additional gain, but never any trim. Please consider adding a TRIM option to the audio settings. This can easily be integrated into the existing gain slider and the default 0 value can be in the middle of the slider. The application of this seems obvious, inputs that have too much dynamic range and need to be brought down to allow additional processing to be applied correctly without clipping.

Have you looked at the VST3 plugins available for use with vMix? If it's available as a plugin then you can have it today!

If the gain is too hot coming in, in my case remotely, adding a VST doesn't help because your gain structure is broken. Same goes for the vMix processing... if it's too hot to eq properly, you're only ever moving the crush around instead of fixing it. I understand you should fix at the source and before it gets to vMix... but the simple logic of no trim is a hindrance, not a nice to have. Also goes for submixes of audio... if the combination of inputs is too hot, you can't trim the submix.

A VST plugin will do the exact same thing that vMix would natively do. If you're somehow too hot for a plugin, such as clipping before you hit vMix, you're too hot for anything vMix could do. Again, there's nothing you can do natively that couldn't be done the exact same way with an identical non-native plugin. In fact, I personally recommend using plugins for all audio adjustments except the fader. At worst, it does the same thing as the native vMix audio parameters. But plugins are often more versatile and using them for everything gives you more control over your signal chain.
