GT Title Designer will snap to the actual side of the frame, it'll snap to align with other items, but it doesn't snap to the safe zone, so I always have to eyeball it.
I'm far, far more likely to align to the safe zone than the actual edge of the frame (after all, that is the entire point of the safe zone).
So I'd really like to get a native snap function for that border.

Well, yeah, but that, again, requires eyeballing where the safe zone is, because the layer won't snap to it. Whether the thing that may be a pixel or two off the safe zone is the layer itself or an item within the layer that everything else snaps to is pretty inconsequential.

The format tab can set the exact position en size of a layer

Originally Posted by: doggy The format tab can set the exact position en size of a layer Again, well, yeah. But when I do that, I'm apparently not doing it right. I took a 1080p title and set the layer to 1728x972 to account for a 90% safe area. Then I set the X offset to 96 and the Y offset to 54, because (96x2)+1728=1920 and (54x2)+972=1080. And this is the result on the left side, which is clearly not flush on the line: While this is on the right (also clearly off): Same on the top: And bottom: Both borders appear to be the same thickness, so I don't think it's a width mismatch--it seems to just not align. It wouldn't surprise me if I did the math wrong, but, in such a situation, I don't know what the correct math would be, hence the feature request.
