I have a VMix session that I am controlling as the show producer. The host of the show is offsite. I have shown him the Web Controller which I've configured to work remotely, but he finds the button layout clunky and not really friendly.

IS it possible to configure a Streamdeck to activate shortcuts on a remote computer over the internet (via Web Controller?) by way of, say, an http request (URL) from an approved IP address?

Try the Streamdeck's native app "website" button maybe with a web API call ?

Have you tried Companion Cloud? It's free and works flawlessly. I use a local Streamdeck to remotely control a PC running vMix in an entirely different part of the country, and there's almost zero latency. I've never had any issues with it.
