Looking for advice before moving over to vMix for our local Internet Broadcasting Network at FingerLakes1.TV.

One thing I am having an issue with...

I would like to have the intro video and music continue to play as I transition from the video to the show host to begin each episode. The show intro is a video file with music that has the music level fade out for the final 20% of the video. At about the 20% point I would like to transition to the shot of the host but I cannot figure out how to do this with the audio from the intro video continuing to be present in the program. I can see the audio/video is still progressing after I switch shots to the host but I cannot get the audio be mixed in after changing shot.

Thank you!

For the initial transition, use an overlay to show the host on top of the intro video running in the background (but not visible). Once the music is done, you can do a cut transition to switch to the camera input and then remove the overlay.

If you need audio from the show host right away, then press the "Audio" button for the camera input before you turn on the overlay. This will turn on the audio from both inputs until you transition away from the intro video.

Thanks. I'll give it a try.
