It'd be great if there was an input box field on the Data Source window, where we could enter the number line from the Data Source and hit enter to feed it to the tilter. For example if we need to jump from entry #21 to entry line #5, just enter 5 on the text box, hit enter (for safety) to send the data to the corresponding title.

if the datasource window is allready open isnt it quicker to just scroll and click (we do that all the time, very long lists even, while we can actually see the data before selecting) ?

IMO if one really wants to be quick in entering a number for selection an external form will be way quicker andd efficient and can actually build in the view the selection data before sending it to vMix and more.

On the other hand IMO if one has to jump rows so far apart a better organisation of the data order might be beneficial

Agreed on the opinion of the use of an external software (personally I use a database engine/app like Access with an easy to use interface). But for the quick and dirty jobs I believe it's faster (and safer than accidental clicking) the use of a keyboard. Also helps with the mnemonic numbering for quick access.
