Automatic Text Box resizing with Right Aligned Text

Hello! I have some texts which are driven by changing data sets. The texts have backgrounds on them which are automatically resized with the length of the text, I do this with Automatic Text Box Sizing set to Width. However, I am unable to right-align any text when Width is selected. So right now, any longer text strings go off the screen.  Anyone know any workarounds?

I wish someone would answer this, so I'm jumping in to track. I'm experiencing the same thing. I'd have expected the rectanle to follow the alignment of the text layer but the text layer doesn't even seem to follow it's own settings anymore.
