EL Zone System

I recently read about this and said, "I would love to have this in vMix."

When I bring up EL Zone many people say "Oh False Color" and at first I had no idea why I liked EL Zone more than False Color.

Then I learned the difference between the two. IRE is linear and EL Zone is Logarithmic.

Once I read that it all clicked.

Audio Faders are the first time I could understand the difference between the two and now there was a digital video system for light levels using the same concept.

EL.Zone is based on the FStops of a Camera with 18% grey being dead center and then you expand out just as the EV + / - works on a Photography Camera.

Since I have done Photography since I was a kid this also made a lot of sense.

For my Production this would allow me to set up shots more quickly and accurately than existing methods.
