I had seen the document that defined all the types of inputs, outputs, references etc (EG, input:="xxx") but now I can't seem to find it again.

Any pointers to it would be appreciated.

Thank you,

I'm quite familiar with the API reference but what I was specifically looking for is where the definition of all the different types of how to encode the various values in scripting.

Once again, not sure why you're sending me to the API function reference, but this is not what I'm looking for.

It's unclear what you're asking.

Are you looking for a resource to help write a script to do something or to retrieve something?

If you're looking for the former, that'd be the link Roy provided (twice) which is duplicated in the link Peter provided. Both seem to provide the exact same information, which is the information.

If you want the latter, however, I'm not sure such a list of variables/syntax exists. At least, none that's vMix specific. You can probably parse the XML to get variable names, but the syntax required to properly use them is, as far as I can tell, tied to general knowledge of VB.net scripting. As I mentioned, I'm not familiar with any resource that provides that in a vMix specific manner.

Are you looking for this: http://127.0.0.1:8088/api

That's the URL which brings back the (incomplete) status of the currently running vMix configuration.

I call it incomplete because it gives us what the people at vMix think we want to know but doesn't always contain the exact bit of information we really need to know. That's why there are numerous requests for additions to it in the Feature Requests.
