If you resize an layer in the layer designer using shift+drag, you can get to negative values of zoom. The layer disappears while you drag but appears rotated 180 degrees when you release the mouse. If the layer is deselected it can then not be reselected to edit or reset the transform. (resetting from the position tab works)
