Audio input drops when switching inputs

I am streaming to Facebook using vMix 26. Single audio input from soundboard using ATEM Mini Mic 1. Two video sources: 1. HDMI camera input from Atem Mini, 2. NDI from AVKANS PTZ camera with audio disabled in the camera app.
Everything works fine as long as I don't switch inputs. The HDMI input is a Powerpoint presentation loaded on a second PC and sent to monitors via an HDMI splitter. I use the 4th HDMI splitter output to send video to Atem Mini. The NDI PTZ input usually uses that camera as a Window-In-Window overlay and shows the pastor, liturgist or musicians. Most of church service requires the live window to be the HDMI input with the PTZ overlay. That seems to work well.
In some parts of the service, notably the sermon, I use the PTZ input as full screen in the live window and put the HDMI input in the preview window. When I cut the video from the Atem to the PTZ input, the audio automatically mutes and I have to unmute it.
I'm sure there is probably a setting somewhere in vMix to prevent the muting but I need help in finding it. Thanks to all for any assistance.
