Dear vMix Team,

I had a really nice time meeting you at IBC 2023, thanks for the mousepad :D

For the feature: On EVS and other replay servers its possible to change the clip transition per clip next to the standard transition type. This could be really helpful for creative freedom in ie. for recaps where sometimes cuts could be useful but wipes or fades are better for other clip transitions.

At the moment, its only possible to change the transition type on the whole vMix project/replay input.
For the implementation, I would imagine another column in the playlist view next to the speed column, where you can override the transition type. The transition type you set per clip would then be the IN transition for the clip, which would be ignored for the first clip since thats the IN for the whole replay input.

Example: I have 4 clips in a playlist I select for playout. On the 2nd clip I set transition override to a fade transition, my standard transition type would be cut. I have Stinger 1 and Stinger 2 for IN and OUT of replay set in the replay settings. If I now play out the 4 clips, then first there would be my stinger IN transition, then transition from clip 1 to 2 would be the overwritten Fade transition, then from 2 to 3 it would be the standard cut again, same for 3 to 4 and on 4 it would do my OUT stinger I set in the replay settings.

Again, this feature is standard on other replay servers and I would really love to have it in vMix aswell,

The Best,
Kai from ANATY Productions

There are many reasons why I'd want to override the default transition, but I think my primary use case is when I...

- have fade/mix as the default transition
- have action on a camera that I would like to clip and playback in a playlist with varying speed (without having to manually do it) by making a set of seamless clips and changing each one's assigned playback speed

For those specific clips in the playlist, I would want to change the transition to a cut because it is continuous action.
