Finding it tricky to trace this issue. New Reference System build and the error happens, apparently, randomly.

Typically:

1. Start STREAM an hour before the show - no problem
2. Engage RECORD - fine to start off with
3. Anything from a few seconds to a few minutes in, RECORDING and STREAM stop. You then cannot re-engage either.

Happens randomly. Sometimes you can stream and record a show of an hour with no problems. Video file and stream are fine.

Looking at the log suggests that there *sometimes* is a problem with the internet at the point recording stops... but why would a problem with the stream getting out of the building disengage recording? Are the two paths not completely separate?

Looking forward to this wonderful community stopping me banging my head against the office wall.

Thanks in anticipation.

Steve

I've just pulled the log from this system. It all looks normal, until it stops writing entries around the time the RECORD button was pressed (on StreamDeck... is this relevant?)

Here are the last few lines:

frame=52852 fps= 13 q=21.0 size= 291293kB time=01:06:27.69 bitrate= 598.4kbits/s speed= 1x
frame=52856 fps= 13 q=21.0 size= 291481kB time=01:06:28.18 bitrate= 598.7kbits/s speed= 1x

... and then nothing. So I'm thinking not related to the LiveStream but engaging RECORD causes vMix to crash?

UPDATE!!!

Just finished a show... streamed and recorded fine except you could not disengage STREAM or RECORD on the StreamDeck. Now starting to think this is a StreamDeck issue. Could it be related to this:

https://forums.vmix.com/...pril-25--2022--KB5012643

Was this issue resolved with the last years' worth of Windows 11 updates or is it still recommended to uninstall KBKB5012643?

Ours is a Topaz Reference System running Windows 11 - the StreamDeck is a Gen1 but we have the same working on other vMix systems running Windows 11 without an issue.
