So I'm testing out recording situations with both the main Recorder and the MultiCorder, on a 2TB Samsung 990 which has been doing fine over numerous tests when all of the sudden I get a 'RE.DiskSpace' or 'Disk too full' error message and the main Record of vMix won't record. The disk partition has less then 90GB full incl. both Main & ISO recordings, so the dis is NOT too full. And if I record with the MultiCorder there is no problem I get no 'Disk too full' errors, the MultiCorder records just fine. Only the main Record gives me the error msg., no matter what I do. I've tried rebooting vMix, reBooting the computer and tried recording inside a new project, and still, Record gives me a 'Drive too Full' error message. Any ideas?

Running a Legion laptop, i9-12900HX w/32GB of RAM, a 3080ti GPU and the drive has 2-1TB partitions and is a Samsung SSD 990 Pro.

Is the drive formatted with NTFS or did the drive get formatted with some form of the FAT file system which limits the maximum file size and can thus give an "Out Of Disk" error when you have a large amount of disk available.

Roy, sorry for the delayed response, been 'in-show' for the last 4 days. My drive is formatted ex-fat, so your idea is interesting... I remember ex-fat had a 2GB limit years ago but being as many shows I work on and many recorders I've used record to ex-fat, I thought that was now a non-issue. Still, interesting idea. I'm curious how vMix gets its HDD info from the system.

2GB fills up VERY fast, recording 1080P at 30FPS takes about 8GB per hour so we'd fill a maximum file size of 2GB in around 15 minutes, just bumping to 60FPS and we'd be limited to 7 to 8 minutes and then "out of disk" on a FAT family formatted disk. You need to be using an NTFS disk for your recording destination.
