Hey guys. I have always used a 29.97 documents in vMix and then selected external output 2 to Decklink Video Renderer (4) and used a 59.94 setting to match an ATEM. Always worked well wihtout issues. Something recently happened (updates?) that randomly my output was garbled and unusable and the only output option is now the Decklink Duo 4 (4). No "rendererer". And I no longer and able to send a different resolution/Framerate than my document. Any ideas how to get that ability back or what am I missing? Can I not select a non-matching setting for the 2nd output? Thanks!

Have you updated the BMD drivers to the latest?

Yes on 12.4.2 which is the latest. I’ve found a few post where it is mentioned that the “renderer (x)” setting is deprecated and the “decklink duo (x)” is the one that should be used anyway. But the “old” setting allowed me to set the external output to any setting without matching the document. Seems odd that there would be so many options for output resolutions and frame rates for individual outputs if they could not be independent. Thanks.

It's worth noting that the renderer is a software driver that can change framerate / resolution, not direct hardware output. (You can output from vMix at 1080@59.94 but tell the driver to make the hardware output 720@29.97).
You should prefer the direct method (decklink duo (x)) instead as this will make the hardware output whatever settings vMix tells it to use. This also puts less load on the system.
Also, with a Duo 2 make sure you change the port mappings in Desktop Video (by default they're paired).
