I have three actions I want to VMIX to take all assigned to the same short cut key (F3) below. The first of the three has the "Show in Web Controller" icon checked, while the other two do not. Clicking the actual shortcut key, causes all three actions to fire but in the web controller one the action that has "show in web controller" fires, the other two do not. Why is this? One might argue it's because that check box in the setting option turns on or off the web controller for those actions. But technically I didn't click the short cut key at all, so why have that rule? I know I can use advanced to assign multiple keys, but I'm trying to avoid using more keys and also trying to keep the web controller shortcuts to a minimum.

Great question. Simple answer. Web Controller does what it does. Not a bug. A feature.

Cheers.

Because, if it didn't work that way, a lot of people would be extremely upset.

The web controller should fire shortcuts, not keypresses.

Adding the "KeyPress" shortcut and putting that in your Web Controller, in lieu of one of the primary actions, should work.

If you don't want to add another shortcut, your best bet is to create a script for the 3 actions and use the shortcut to fire the script.

You can also look into non-Web Controller network control options that may offer you more versatility in what your button presses will do.
