The Issue WAV follows the video. If I want 8 audio tracks for my audio I must set that up for the video as well.
The Feature Request I would like to set my Video to record the Master Audio. Then set my WAV for an MABC record or something beside Master Audio.
Use Case First some details about 8 track MP4 files. Not many pieces of software directly support it in my experience. Magic Vegas works even if it likes to scramble the MABC to be more like 68213457.
I would like to have the 8 audio tracks as a backup in case we need to remix the Audio for any reason seen or unseen later. I also need a 2 track master with the video.
Currently I can do one or the other as far as I can tell.
There are several "workarounds" that exist such as FFmpeg, Lossless Edit(GUI for FFmpeg), AVIdemux, Magix Vegas.
The issue with all of the workarounds is time. I need to strip or enable or mute and then re-run the file either a re-encode or some other things to write the file out again. Depending on the tool will depend on the time it takes. No matter what took is used it will take time. Oh I forgot the other workarounds, use some other software like a DAW for the audio.
Everything is already in vMix for me. If I could say WAV record 8(MABC) tracks and video record 2(M) tracks I would be done when my Live Stream or Recording session was done.
Thanks for checking this request out.
