TL; DR - I'm currently running a 1070 Ti GPU, trying to capture 3 4K streams but the resulting videos are full of dropped frames. Will upgrading the GPU solve my issue?

Hi all-
Here are the specs for my vMix capture machine:
GPU - GeForce GTX 1070 Ti
CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
HD - Samsung 980 PRO 1TB NVME (fast enough for writes!)
Capture Card - Blackmagic Design DeckLink Quad

I'm running a 3-4 camera shoot usually, with three of the feeds being 4K and the 4th being 1080p. I've noticed my 4K feeds recently dropping frames so clearly there is a bottleneck somewhere though I can't figure out where. I've been considering upgrading my machine to something slightly newer like a 3080 Ti

So just wanted to see if there is a general consensus that upgrading the GPU will substantially stabilize the recordings to make sure every frame is flawlessly captured with GPU/CPU headroom to spare.

Basically I don't want my machine breaking a sweat to capture 4 camera feeds, want to make sure it's overly capable and I know my recordings are 100% quality.

Thank you so much for any insight and support!

Yes, a 3080 would be a huge improvement.

The 1070ti is great for quite a few 1080 feeds but personally I wouldn't do more than 2 4k feeds.

You're essentially running 13 1080 feeds right now.

Excellent, thank you for confirming. Now off to find a reasonably priced 3080 Ti!
