I'm using a system with NVIDIA RTX A4000, 8 CPU, 32GB RAM and running 2 outputs on one vMix instance. During live streams, I realize that my CPU usage is always about 60-65% but GPU is less than 5% usage. Is there a way I can make vMix use more of GPU to reduce the load on my CPU?

Thanks, everyone.

It depends on what your inputs are. Hardware inputs (DeckLinks, AJA, Magewell cards) won't use CPU at all. NDI is very CPU heavy.

Can you share inputs, outputs, and stream details?

Thank you for the response. I'm actually not using any hardware inputs. I'm using the Web Browser as my input, and in my Streaming settings, I use Hardware encoder.

The web browser input is the source of your high CPU. It's a great feature but not the most performant.

Run the web browser on a separate computer, using hardware capture or NDI screen capture to collect it as a source.

mjgraves, is NDI Desktop Capture of a web browser on another computer less CPU intensive than a Web Browser input on the vMix Production PC? I thought NDI was CPU-intensive? I guess it's all relative? Thanks.
