We've got JVC GY-HM200Us in our high school's broadcasting program. In the last year, JVC pushed out a firmware update that allows a high-speed setting of 120/60fps.
On the one hand, it's an excellent tool for recording at high speed. However, the file records in such a way that it plays back at 50% speed - you need an editing program to watch it at the 'live' speed. Someone more intelligent and tuned in to cameras could probably explain what's going on there...! I would really REALLY love to use this as a 'hyper-mo' input for replays and playback, but I've not been able to figure it out. It will connect and read in vMix, but obviously not in the higher frame rate.
Is it possible to use one of these cameras as a high frame rate replay camera as is? Is it possible with extra equipment or settings? Or is this a nifty trick to only use for recording separately and not with vMix only?

While the camera is recording at 120fps, it is recording it into a standard 60fps file. On a computer or in the camera it will look like it is playing it back at 50% speed. In an editing program you can speed it up, but that is essentially dropping half of the frames of video. Similarly, the output of your camera is probably locked to 60FPS. Most highspeed cameras output video over 2 or more outputs. So each output is only handling 60fps.
Without a true high speed broadcast camera (I believe vMix live had a cheap camera that could to 120fps over HDMI) you can't really do it the way you are thinking. You can hit play on the camera and it will send the slow-motion file out, then you can capture it in vMix. You could also see if there is a way to network the camera and send saved files to a file server, then play them out in vMix.
