Pretty much the subject here. I am scripting some shortcuts that use this on inputs, but now we want that functionality on the Audio Busses. This would be great for some automation work. Seems pretty easy to add right? :-)

Any +1's :-)

+1! I second this feature request, because the missing SetVolumeFade on a bus makes it harder to implement side-chain-like volume reduction between two busses. Let me explain: I've bus A with all input devices (microphones) and bus B with all output devices (TVs) from the stage of a studio. When I audio occurs on bus B the inputs on bus A should fade down automatically. I've doing this with Visual Basic scripting and it works just fine, except that because of a missing SetVolumeFade on bus A, I've to figure out what devices are on bus A and individually SetVolumeFade all those devices in parallel. It would be a lot more efficient and intuitive if one could use SetVolumeFade directly on a bus.

Script it with little loop using the SetBusXVolume function

Yes, of course. This is exactly what I've done for my cases, but the SetVolumeFade would be easier and smoother in the result, especially if the volume should be change in the opposite direction before the previously triggered fading was 100% done. So, yes, it is possible with full scripting efforts, but a SetVolumeFade on a bus would be more intuitive and easier for the people.
thanks 1 user thanked engelschall for this useful post.

+1 it's so useful feature, if we're also able to do "SetVolumeFade" on each Bus Mixer.
