hey guys I have a live video production of an Esports Tournament in 2 months and my client is asking for facecam on the 20 players that will be in mainstage, the solution i have in mind is to set up 20 webcams concentrate the signal into 2 PCS and send the Webcam feed over VMIX NDI. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Logistic nightmare. So much USB ports & cabling. Hard to get 10x webcams working on a single PC. Needs so many different USB contoller channels. I did 4 as an experiment. You could probably get 6-8 working. https://www.mgraves.org/...ms-on-a-single-computer/I think you're better off using something small at every PC. Each webcam connected to a Raspberry PI4 (or similar) running Dicaffiene to encode to NDI. Or use MJPEG over RTMP. I note a large conference in Belgium called FOSDEM that has done something similar. They have a couple of dozen simultaneous, ongoing presentations. Being an open source conference they rely solely on open source hardware & software tools. They built some little tools to capture a camera and presenter laptop. Those streams get passed to a laptop that records/streams the goods.
