Hey, so I've had this issue for a while but recently have the need to try and find a fix.
Basically i created a few presets for my team to use along with a bunch of shortcuts in each preset streamdeck. I updated the 1st preset with the local shortcuts and made them all local to the preset.
I then wanted to export those shortcuts to another preset that is fairly similar with some minor changes (same number of ndi inputs, multi layer inputs, video inputs, ppt inputs, titles, etc.) but when i import those shortcuts into a different preset, the "Local Shortcut" option is not staying selected, resulting in me having to manually edit each shortcut (over 400) one at a time just to turn that option on.
I had to do this with 3 of the standard presets I've made all with about 400+ shortcuts each.
Is this a bug or just an option in settings i am missing that aloows the local shortcut option to be persistent between presets? Should this be a feature request to allow the option to select multiple (or all) shortcuts as local shortcuts with the press of a button?
With our broadcasts getting more and more complex within our company, this is extremely time consuming just to update any preset along with all the shortcuts. :(
Any help or info would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks! :D

A possible solution:
Export the shortcuts via Settings/Shortcuts/Templates from your 1st preset. Import them to a new blank preset, and they appear as non-local shortcuts. When importing shortcuts there is a warning, that shortcuts will be overwritten, so handle with care. Not sure if Streamdeck button values are saved, but probably should be.

If you're using that many shortcuts and a streamdeck, you really should be using Bitfocus Companion, not making vMix shortcuts!
It'll save you a lot of bother and is so much easier to move between presets and machines.

Yeah im trying to make sure they stay as local shortcuts for the other presets im importing them into. I like having specific shortcuts just for the presets their associated with. I never use the universal shortcuts to be honest. :/ Though, i will say i;ve never tried importing the shortcuts into a blank preset before. I wonder if that will keep them as local, then i can append the inputs into that blank preset. Will need to try it out today :D

Oh, sorry, I totally misunderstood you.
One other thing: vMix preset files are XML files and can be opened with an editor. There is a shortcut section that could be copied and pasted. Tried this with a small preset, and it worked, but of course that's not an official way, and I can't tell you about potential failures.
