It appears that other software using ASIO drivers are able to get 16 or 32 outputs of audio. For example software such as music and video editing.
What would it take to get vmix to break the limit of A-G audio buses?

Most mixers support USB or Dante cards and offer 32 inputs of audio but the only way get more audio output from vMix is to hack vmix and split the matix output to LEFT and RIGHT.

Is it possible to please give use more output buses??

With the 8 busses plus master plus monitor you can use 8+1+1 stereo channels. That is plenty in my eyes.
Dante, ASIO and USB supported.
This might be interesting.

mavik I wish this were true. Not everyone uses the limited audio mixing ability of vmix internally.
These videos only addressed audio INPUTS not the problem of limited audio output buses.

For example, many productions (large and small) prefer to use real external audio consoles such as Yamaha or Behringer.
This give us much more control over the audio path and quality. Internal Plug-ins, gates, compression and other tools are notorious for latency and using pc resources.

It is not uncommon to have 8 vmix callers which means this takes up outputs A, B, C, D, E, F, H ??.
The only way to make this work is to put caller 1 audio on A Left, caller 2 audio on A Right, caller 3 audio B Right, etc.

So as you can see the lack of vmix output audio buses is a major issue for even a small production, much less something larger.

And I haven't even touched on the limited ability to route caller return audio.

Hi Lee,
I understand what you are saying. There is maybe some room for improvement. I use two busses for my 1-n callers. One bus I use for the return sound and talkback. The other bus I use for the caller audio. I usually set the audio device as a Dante channel so that you can pick up the calls with a variety of equipment for further processing.
On bigger venues I add an input (Dante as well) for the n-1 (room-calls) from the audio desk.
On vMix, if you join all callers onto the same bus, vmix will do the mix minus automatically.

The monitor is a separate device with 2 additional channels, but it's not on a separate bus.

While 8 buses may be enough for you, not everyone uses the software the same way or has the same priorities you will, nor is everyone running the same type of program you are.

For me, 1 bus for each output leaves only 4 non-recorded buses left, which I filled quickly.

I could make do with my current configuration, but it's certainly not anything I'd call "plenty". At this point, I could use at least 2 more, meaning that there 2 two specific things I'd like to do that would necessitate the use of 2 additional buses.

I'm also a big fan of integrating redundancy and backups into my setups, which could use another 1-2 buses.
