I just picked up a Magewell Pro Convert AES67 which can cross convert a bunch of different audio sources (analog, USB, AES67, NDI) from and to SRT. However, when I load that audio only SRT stream into vMix there is no sound or activity on the audio meters. The stream is successfully connected, as indicated by the stats screen, (0.29mbp, 10ms RTT) as well as windows task manager network utilization. I have also confirmed the stream works by directly connecting to it via ffmpeg from the same vMix machine, which successfully plays the audio.

Does vMix support audio only SRT streams?

Heard back from vMix support.

"Unfortunately, no, vMix does not support SRT Audio only, sorry about that."

I will post this in the feature request section.

vMix will soon fall behind other products on the market if they don't step up there game with SRT. i am also missing a mtu-size parameter for SRT streams, and others are complaining about the missing audio-pids for multi-audio-streams.
