Hi,

we have two new NDI Converter N40 from Kiloview.
Encoding works fine.
but decoding does not work, when the NDI comes from vmix or vmix desktop capture.
the issue is, in the web Interface of the N40, i find the NDI source and i can decode it, but the screen i connect to the interface shows <unsupported signal> other screens show <wrong format> or <out of Range>
I tried 3 different displays, same same... (with NDI studio monitor i can see every NDI source).

When i capture the screen with NDI 5 tools screen capture, the signal shows up well.
the ndi5 tools are installed everywher, so the driver should be not the problem ?

N40 latest Firmware 2.02.0217 (BSP-2015.4)
vMix version 25.0.0.32
vmix desktop capture version 23.0.0.4

Thanks a lot,
felix

I have an N3 Encoder/Decoder. I had a similar problem and I changed my vMix Master Framerate t 59.94i and that solved my problem. When the Master Framerate was at 29.97p, that was the framerate being put out by the Decoder so screens won't recognize it. Try that and see if it helps.

Not sure if this is helpful but there's a Kiloview User Group on Facebook where perhaps someone may be able to help if the ideas shared here don't solve the issue for you. I believe some Kiloview support team members are active participants in that group as well.

Hi,

I got an answer from Kiloview-support:

---
At present, we have been using VMix (version: 23.0.0.67) for testing in our office, and the test results are all working properly.
So we suspect that there may be a relationship with the version of vmix, we have not tested it with VMIX 25.0.0.32 and N40.
We'll figure out a way to use that version for testing. If there is indeed a problem, we will feed it back to our R&D engineers for optimization.
---

Iy will try with an older vMix next week...

Try updating the firmware to the latest. I only have the S2 and P2 at hand for testing and did a N20 review and test here

Maybe you can grab some information from it.
