Hi all,

Until now, I’ve mainly used vMix for live production but in scenarios where a third party looks after the broadcast so I just provide an SDI output .

I’m now needing to do a production where we will stream to 2-3 destination (Vimeo, YouTube and Facebook live. I know vMix can stream to three destinations natively within the app but does this use up much system resources in vMix?
Would I be better off using something like a Vidiu Go or X? I know these devices have the added benefit of bonding connections but not really after advice on that.

Thanks

Yes, each stream from vMix will require additional system resources and bandwidth.
Using an external streaming encoder like the Vidiu X will certainly relive that encoding load from your system.

Not if you checkmark use Stream 1's settings for the other two streams.

Restream.io is another option (with additional benefits), check it out.

Also, Vimeo can restream to Facebook and Youtube.

Are you sure ?
I will test that in a few Minutes but I recall it doesn't make a difference on the GPU (NVIDIA Encode) usage if I use 2 different settings of just use the 1 Stream settings.
