I'm having a minor but annoying issue with MP3 files loaded in VMix as audio inputs. When I play them back, the time counter is sometimes shorter than the file. For example, the MP3 may be 4 minutes long, but shows up on the control screen as 2:30. When this happens, the file does play completely... the timer will count down to zero (according to whatever shorter length is showing), and then just sit there at 0:00 while the remainder of the file plays.

I am currently on VMix 23.0.0.65 but I have seen this issue on previous versions as well. There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason as to what files are affected or how much the time is reduced by. The MP3 files are ones that I have recorded and mixed myself. I'm currently using Reaper, but I have also seen it with MP3s output from Audacity. I've looked back at some of the affected files and the timing does not seem to match anything in the original mixing process. (For example, when I splice two different recordings together, the location of the splice in NOT the place where VMix reports the end of the file.) I have not seen this problem with the playback time showing incorrectly in other players.

Is this a known problem or bug of some kind?

You might need to re-index the files. I'm not familiar with reaper nor audacity if they do a proper index.

I'm running into this issue on a show right now. Did anyone ever figure out why this happens? It seems to be sporadic. Some mp3s have the right trt. Others totally wrong.
