it's not convenient to adjust the size of layer and keep proper position

When I resize a layer and change the position, it's very inconvenient.
For example, I have a picture in one layer, I'd like to resize it to a smaller one. Moreover, for the postiion of the picture, I'd like to fix the top-left corner unchanged. The problem is that I cannot fix the top-left position. Whenever I changed the size, the picture always fix the centre point, and the four corners changed their position accordingly. I have to manually move the whole picure to top-left corner, but it cannot be so exact position as it is original.
Compared to OBS, it's very easy to achieve it. It's just use mouse to click on proper lower-right to resize the picture while the positon of original top-left keeps unchanged.
You know, in moste cases, we don't need keep the centre point of pic unchanged, we usually fixed one of the four corners unchanged.
Is there any method which I don't know to achieve that? Please guide! Thanks

Maybe I didn't state my problem correctly. I loaded a picture as an input. Now I go into menu of 'position’to adjust it. Note the red mark, this is the position which I'd like to fix unchanged. 1.png (858kb) downloaded 2 time(s).I need resize it. I use 'zoom' to reduce 50% size around. However the picture position changed a lot when talking about top-left corner. I have to manually move it back 2.png (399kb) downloaded 0 time(s). 3.png (386kb) downloaded 0 time(s).You know nobody can ensure the position accuracy compared to its original position via manually move object. Especailly if I am in a live production which always need some sudden quick adjustment of an input size, and it is not allowed for any position change considering you have a complicated layour around. OBS is able to keep one of the corner unchanged for a source at the same time you are making 'zoom' their size. I just wonder if vMix has the solution for it?

You're right. That point could be a bit more convenient like some hardware graphical mixers handle it (or illustrator and photoshop do!).
But I can give you a workaround I use in that case:
1. Use an empty layer and put some color input into it. 2. Move it to the exact position to memorize the correct position (in your case upper right corner) 3. then resize the original layer and move it to the correct position. 4. hide the "ruler layer"
